Why become a member?

Is Network membership just another list to join? Hardly! Being a Network member means something to you as a youth worker. Here are some reasons to consider joining:

It’s Free. The Network does not ask you to pay a membership fee or dues. You can make a tax-deductible donation at any time, but a contribution is not required. But “free” does not mean “cheap” – here’s why:

The Covenant Counts. The Network Covenant has been the foundation of Network membership for 25 years. Whether you’re full time or a volunteer, signing it binds your heart and life to a common mission with thousands of other adults who realize that the character and values of a youth worker matter.

Be Part of a Movement. Since 1981, the Network has been helping youth workers cooperate to evangelize and disciple teenagers. Joining the Network aligns you with thousands of adults and a God who are passionate about reaching every teenager with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Unity Reflects Who God is. The night before He was crucified, Jesus said, “I pray…that all of them would be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us to that the world may believe that you have sent me" (John 17:21). Our unity is a reflection of the unity of the Trinity. This has practical implications for how we do youth ministry.

We’re Better Together. “Two are better than one, because they have a better return for their labor.” (Ecclesiastes 4:9). Don’t try to do youth ministry alone. It will take all of us – working together – to reach more than 30 million teenagers. We need each other!

You Have Something to Contribute. There are things you have learned that have value to others. Other youth workers need you to be a resource to them to help them succeed in their ministries. Your local Network or nationwide Affinity Network provides a platform for this vital kind of community.
